Bay street is shrinking to a tatter of her former glory. With the closure of several key stores in the downtown area the safe
shooping areas are shrinking to a mere three block area in the center of town. As more shops close so does the available shopping
and the attractiveness of the destination compared to other caribbean countries. Another concern is the condition of the area and the
attractions that are offered is very poor. Tourists are constantly harasses by vagrants, bombarded by taxi and tour operators, and
generally not welcomed into the town.
